We have implemented the use of a cloud-based mobile datacollection platform so survey teams can capture geospatial and survey-specific data via LTE/WiFi-enabled Android tablets. For higher geospatial accuracy, AECOM uses Trimble GeoXT, GeoXH, and Geo7x handheld units, as well as the Arrow 200 GNSS receiver, to collect GPS data in the field.
Our cultural resource teams are dedicated to finding new and improved ways to collect the most accurate field data in the fastest way possible. Our geospatial data management team is able to process, map, and analyze data as daily geospatial data packages come in from the field, allowing for timely turnaround of survey coverage and results.
Our cultural resource management team includes experts in domestic and industrial ceramics and glass made and/or used in America. We process personal, household, and industrial artifacts that range from small finds of various materials to large architectural elements. Ceramics and glass are some of the most common artifacts recovered during archaeological investigations.
