At AECOM safety is paramount. Health and safety are the foundations of how we work in the field, at our sites, and in our office and laboratory. AECOM recognizes that historic use of the landscape, particularly in urban and industrial settings, has the potential to create hazardous impacts that remain in the soil for decades or centuries.
In order to ensure the safe conduct of cultural resource investigations across a broad spectrum of working conditions, AECOM NE/SE Cultural Resources maintains a staff of archaeologists and architectural historians who are trained in hazardous material environments, construction safety, and the use of necessary personal protective equipment, such as Tyvek and respirators.
Our entire field staff is trained and certified in procedures for the safe conduct of their duties.
